Any1 had a problem where your windows freeze or become unavailable in Microsoft Word, publisher, internet explorer, photoshop etc and you can only see the top tool bars the rest is transparent.

The only way to get it back is to right click the item in the start bar and click close and it comes back, risky business when it's an unsaved document.

I have windows blinds installed, but have done for a year or so now without any probs up until now unless it's the particular skin I'm using!

    Any suggestions???

Check taskmanager at the time of the freeze to see what's consuming most of the CPU time, and the most memory.

    Thanks for you fast response,

I'm sorry I didn't explain it very well as it's not case of stuff consuming the memory, I constantly review my task manager and anything I do install takes up extremely low system resources everything else that runs is just the essential windows processes

At the time of my problem notnhing appears to be taking up any more memory and I have an AMD 3700 and a GIG of performance ram.

They windows are not crashing as such or slowing down but they become unavailable so if say I have Word open and internet explorer and I surf the net then go back to Word the window is not all there just the tool bar, bottom bar and sidebars the middle bit is transparent

The only way to get it back is to close the app, when I do this funnily enough it does not close it just restores the middle bit, just seems strange I have to do this and I wondered if anyone has come accross this before

Thanks in anticipation of a response!

Windowblinds and other progs like it can turn on you all of a sudden. It happened three times to me, and i will, never install such software again. It completeley trashed the system and i had to remove it from safe mode.
The symptoms you are describing are exactly what windowblinds can do to the system. I recommend uninstalling it. Be sure to uninstall it correctly or it might still cause you trouble. (If this does not solve the problem, you are free to reinstall of course)
