Fried Parts

    ok on my current build i burnt out the processor and motherboard. My question is that i had the ram and video card attached at the time. when the processor and motherboard went i dont no if my ram and video card would have been fried as well because they were connected to the motherboard. do you think there ok or were the fried as well.... is there a way to check?

    Easiest way is to put them on a known good machine one at a time.

    Should be ok ie wont boot if the memory is bad or the vid card is damaged

    ok i just tested out the ram. it seemed to b running ok so i no its not fried. but when i took it out it was pretty hot. dunno if thats normal or a bad sign.

    Ram runs hot its normal

    Best bet is to have a fan blowing air in its direction

    ok just tested the video card too. seems to b ok. just put in the order for new motherboard and processor. thx for the idea to test on another comp. glad to c that i dont gotta replace them too :cool:
