Mugger makes off with chips, salsa
A man told officers his chips and salsa were stolen from him while walking on Broadway on Friday afternoon.
Fort Wayne police were called to the area of Broadway and Taylor Street at 3:18 p.m. Friday on the report of a robbery. A man told police he was walking from the Laredo Restaurant, 1854 Broadway, with a bag of chips and salsa when a man came behind and asked what was in the bag, a police report said.
The victim said he told the man it was chips and salsa.
The man then said “Give them to me” and reached toward his waist as if he had a weapon, the report said.
The victim gave him the chips and salsa, and the robber got into a white vehicle, possibly a Pontiac, the report said.
