From Divx to DVD player, what do I need?

    I have a movie downloaded on my machine that I would like to be able to burn to a disk and have it look good on a DVD player. It is ripped from a DVD and the quality is 100%. I know I will need to encode it into whatever the DVD player plays which will likley make it massive. Also I am looking for freeware or opensource software to do this if at all possible. Thanks.

    You would use a program called DivxtoDVD to convert the AVI file into a image (.ISO) file that you can burn directly to disk to produce a playable DVD.
