Lawyer Allegedly Stole Inheritance, Lost It In Scam (Yes, she fell for Nigerian scam, I Heart Florida)

Chris called and I asked him if he had seen this story yet...he hadn't so I told him about it...he said good...hope she does go to prison then her and Lloyd can be "pen" pals.

He never ceases to amaze me with his quick, witty comebacks! LMAO

For those that don't know the story..Chris had a lawyer handling his mom's estate but what he did was rip off Chris and a whole bunch of other people...he's sitting in jail.

Now about that Nigerian scam....*thud*

Just more proof that you don't necessarily have to be intelligent to be a lawyer...a houseplant knows better than to get involved with a Nigerian e-mail scam.

 

I've had a run in with lawyers myself. I ran a satellite business for someone, he never provided me with inventory documents and so forth and out of the blue says "my records show you owe me $5,000 more then you say". I said "get me documentation and I'll pay it." Well long story made short, he took me to court. In discovery him and his lawyer had a contract I supposedly signed which I didn't. I got a copy and gave it to the police. They all looked at it and could tell it wasn't my signature but neither the State Police, my towns police or his towns police would do anything about it. First they bickered over jurisdiction, they actually asked me "What town was it signed in? That's the police department who would have jurisdiction." How the hell would I know? It was forged, I wasn't around at the time. In the end the police said it was only illegal to forge someones name to a check or when opening a bank accout/loan in a direct attempt to take money. I guess forging my name to a false contract and suing me for $30,000 isn't a direct attempt to extort money.

Now to the point - 6 months after this ended I read in the paper that the guys lawyer stole over $100,000 from some crippled kids trust fund he won from the accident that hurt him.

 

Plants aren't greedy, they just take what they need.

I just got one of those scammo's in the email today. I always read then for a good laugh and then send it on to Yahoo as scam (prob doesn't do any good tho). I can't believe there is anyone out there gullible enough to fall for that.
