Is it worth my while continuing with an April thread as the number of reads only averages around 15 per day. confused

I was hoping that newbies, and others, may find something of interest, and use, in those I select.

i enjoy the reads bazza ,
they give a good insight as to what new programmes come out,

as good as mg and its members and mods are sometimes i feel that the home page where all the new programmes are listed can be a bit annoying to look through , not bashing just comparing to other similar (albeit inferior)sites .....just some constructive criticism here not bashing

so maybe its just me but having the best ones extracted out is better for people who are constantly on the rush

if you wanted to improve your listing you could sometimes add a programme which is very good or a personal favourite that maybe has been availble for a while just a bit unknown,

take for example me i love taking pictures on my camera every week but have no interest in editing photos or anything serious, up until a few months ago i just used explorer which was a pain with over 2000 photos, and i only found through word of mouth googles picassa which has simplified my photo management big time

and seen as you seem to be in the upper class i.e respected members in the site im sure most would take your advice on programmes and the maybe the mods wouldnt mind either

providing your interested in it i think it sould be a cool sticky for people who are completely unaware to freeware programmes and complete begginners at software basics etc

anybody else , thoughts ??

My main idea behind the thread is to encourage visitors mainly, to visit the frontpage at www.majorgeeks.com to see what other programs, and updates, they may be missing out on, and maybe join the MG family.

I only select 2-4 programs, daily, that I think might appeal to people to investigate further. Any more would probably be counterproductive, as well as taking up too much space in the thread.

They are not necessarily the "best" as I do not, and cannot, try every one.
I sometimes "plug" updates to programs that I do use on a regular basis, on my PC, to encourage others to try them. Avast, Advanced Windows Care and Remove-It updates, are some examples.

I keep the programs reviewed to those listed each day, as they are fresh out in the PC world. Thanks to the guys who assemble the front page contents every day, including the weekends.:major They really spoil us.

I occasionally plug the "Must have Freeware" listing at http://www.majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=20 to help out newbies, and others, who may not be aware of this MG feature.
Thanks for the reminder, Fergie, I should plug that link more often.
Your idea of a sticky in the Software Forum would be a great idea. @mods@ ?
