I'm not submitting a post today. First one I've missed this year. Last 2 mornings I have spent over an hour trying to log onto Broadband. Yesterday I succeeded, today I can't.

I am typing this on dialup, hooked directly to the phone wallplug. Somewhere in between the mass of cabling from the wallplug to where I normally connect to Broadband is an intermittent fault.

Also I appear to have a fault in my Logitech keyboard and mouse combo. Logitech have been no help, not bothering to reply. about my mouse problem.

If you could see the mass of cables behind my desk you could understand why.

I also have just purchased a 26" LCD TV and it is all plugged in together adding extra cables.

I think a better surge protector is need for the TV and re-routing of all other cables is a must.

Back tomorrow and I will catch up on my daily suggestions for your consideration.

I've tracked down the source of my troubles (I hope). It is the lead from the wall jack to where I normally sit. Now all I have to do is wait for the stores to open and replace the cable. :major :cool

Back in business with Broadband up and running, :major after being forced to use dialup fo the last 2 days.
Replaced the dodgy RJ12 (6p6c) with a correctly wired RJ12 (RJ 6P4c) connector. Reset my Netgear Modem / Router, and with the help of my ISP Service Techie got my Broadband connection going again.

To celebrate, I did a full PC housekeeping followed by a full backup and validation. Life is back to normal again as far as PC is concerned anyhow.
