front usb ports no longer recognised

Hi all - The usb ports on the front of my CPU don't seem to work any more. When I plug in my memory stick or camera cable nothing happens. I am not aware of any changes that may have caused this. I have copied my computer profile from Belarc for your assistance.

Most pc case's draw air into the case from this area, everthing on the front is the first thing to get real dirty and dusty, look into the usb's and see how clean they are, the front usb;s are connected to the motherboard via a cable running thru the pc, usually they dont come loose but possible. You could check these cables by pulling the side off of your pc, these cables will be running from the front of your pc to the mother board, they are usually grey, be sure they are plugged in. another thought, if you have redone windows, and not used the orignal cd's you will need to get the drivers for your card readers. But if the rear usb;s work the front should also. ed
