Attached are my computer specs. CPU-Z says that my FSB is 166 Mhz even though my board is rated 400 Mhz. My RAM also seems to be low, it too is rated at 400 Mhz. All of the jumper settings on my mobo are set correctly. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

amd chips use what you call a double pump so your 166 is times 2 and you have 332 your processor is running 332.7 bus speed and 2.21g everthying looks like it should. look about half way downon this link

I see you running a nForce2 ULTRA 400 I have the same thing and it unlocked the multipler, and if you have PC3200 or higher memory you should try a 11x multiplier and a 200fsb (double pumped to 400) and you will have a 2200MHz CPU

Your mobo may support 400fsb but does your CPU?

Is your CPU rated at 333fsb or 400fsb, the barton core XP 3000+ cpu is avaible at both 333 & 400 fsb??

If you have the 333fsb cpu should probably just leave the ram timings as they are "333fsb" ( in Bios displayed 166 which is correct )
As for the ram if running at 333fsb, if you have a 333fsb cpu, it just running insync, which is probably the best option.

You can manualy set your ram speed to run at 400fsb, no advantage while running stock cpu speeds
Also if ya have 333fsb cpu and you raise the cpu fsb to 400fsb you'd be overclocking, Overclocking has risk's, can you afford it?

I dont think that matters. I have a AXP-M chip that is supposed to be a 133MHz chip yet I have it running 200+

You have a 3000+ stock at 166 FSB ( 333 DDR ) and if you simply set the FSB in the bios to 200 ( 400 DDR ) you will be running 2.6 GHz http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif ( it wont work. )....so first see if your CPU is locked ( go into the bios and see if you can set it to 12x ) and check if you are running 1.992 GHz ( or close ) if you are then you have a unlocked core if that is the case set the X to 10.5 and the FSB to 200 ( 400 DDR ) and BAM! 400FSB at 2.1 GHz http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/wink.gif if its not unlocked then your running as fast a FSB as you can without overclocking the core .........

All mobile bartons are unlocked and 90%+ desktop bartons are locked..... Your chipset has nothing to do with unlocking or locking multipliers ............

Okay, thanks everyone, after looking into the risks and rewards of overclocking, I have opted to not. Thanks again.
