Full free version of Mlwarebytes for dowload

    Could some one please direct me to a site where I can download a full version of the free malwarebytes to burn to a disc. Thanks

    All you had to do is look at the AntiSpyware section of the main site (www.majorgeeks.com) download page or look in our sticky threads here in this forum.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware


    Don't know what you mean by "a full version" though since there is no partial version of the free version of Malwarebytes. If you are looking for the version the provides protection then you have to purchase it as it is not provided for free.

    Chasling, as an example, when I download the AVG Program I do not get a full download of that program. I only get the setup.exe file. When I run the setup.exe file it is a very short file. After I run that file it finishes wih the rest of the download to the computer that has that particular setup.exe file on it. I don't know if this happens on Malwarebytes or not, but I thought it was better to be safe than sorry. I would not want to take a partial Malwarebytes file to a computer that cannot connect to the internet and try to install and it would not work. However, you may be right, that this would be a complete file that I could burn to a disc. and use it on another computer that is unable to connect to the internet. Thank you.

    Then it is because of where you are downloading the files from. The full download of AVG has always been available at many sites. Here is where you find it on Major Geeks

    AVG Free Edition

    Notice the size? Size: 76.6 MB


    The same is true for Malwarebytes:

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Size: 4.87 MB

    The only thing you don't get is the database/virus definitions updates which is why ALL programs like this need to be updated after installing. If you don't have an internet connection, manual updates can also be downloaded and run after you install the programs. Like the below:

    Chaslang, I downloaded the AVG Free from the AVG Website. I was only getting the setup.exe loaded, not the full version. I did find out though how to get the full version by looking though their forums. The next time I need it, I will look for it on this site. Thank you so much.
