Fuzzy Display

Before bed, I'll turn my monitor off. When I wake up and turn it on, the display quality is significantly blurrier until I restart my computer. Does anyone know what would cause this?

 

Just a theory, but it sounds like your computer stops recognizing what monitor is at the end of the cable unloading the driver for your monitor and replacing it with a more generic one. When you restart that monitor driver is loaded properly. Does this happen when your monitor goes to sleep? If not then changing your habit of turning the monitor off may help.

 

Post your operating system,post the computer specifications as best you can or download and run speccy and attach report,laptop or desktop I'm guessing desktop since you mention monitor instead of screen but I'm not sure,oist name size and model of monitor,when you say turn off please explain,just flick the monitor off with the power switch,put the computer into sleep or hibernate?


Do you know when the last time you updated all your drivers and windows? Especially your video card driver.

Depending on your OS,hardware and video driver navigating to display properties will be different,you can right click your desktop and enter screen resolution or go to control panel and click display or display properties.

To goal is the same to find out what resolution your screen is running in when it's clear and when it's blurry and post results,if the resolution is lower when it's blurry try changing it to the native resolution and post results.
