Let GT know that I and mine are think all sorts of good thoughts in his direction. I did check the other thread, and having a 16year background in medicine, i know that what he is facing is not easy, even if it is a more regular occurrance and highly treatable given the right circumstances.

We'll keep the good thougts coming from here and hope to see him back soon.

Errr, Good news followed abruptly by bad news. GT got out of the hospital this weekend (I was hoping he'd get to fill you all in himself). Well, he's back in the hospital as of last night. His stomach has decided it, no longer likes nourishment. (IE, he's not able to keep any food down). So.....grrr arghhh.

On a plus note, his sister who lives on the other side of the continent is flying in to help him out. Hopefully the friendly face with either encourage him to get better out of love, or encourage him to get better to have his house back ;0). All joking aside, Keep those good thoughts coming and I'll keep throwing post's and random jokes at him over the phone.

On a personal side note. I know my Dad is thankfull for your thoughts and prayers, but I wanted to say....So am I! Thanks you guys...even if you're on the other end of the planet...knowing someone is thinking of you in a tight spot, you may not end up better, but you know you're loved. So in that vein- Go GT go!!!

 

Thanks again Chesskin, but tell your Dad to stop being a Prima Donna and get his butt out of that dang Hospital. Major Geeks is falling apart with out him, tell him there are Juvenile Geeks running amoke in the Halls. Glad to hear that his Sis can get sometime off to come out, makes it easier all round.

For Gosh sakes PLEASE Chesskin don't tell G.T. about our Timmie's rants it might set the poor man back..............Our Timmie's legs won't even reach the peddles of his tricycle, let alone a car and last I heard he couldn't even find his way to the Washroom and a Laptop to Timmie is something he sits on well sucking his thumb

 

AWW, what a shame, so close, think he likes hospital food? Shut I'll eat about anything some else cooks. Well tell him the next trip home will hopefully stick. Good Wishes to you all.

 

Must be the food Darlene. Now hat his sister is coming, maybe she could cook for him.
I'd even be willing to send some Christmas goodies if it would get him home.

Lol when I read the news I thought NO ONE can like hospital food that much!

G.T. as long as you stay in that hospital, your tummy is not going to want to have food You need to get out of there, talk to the head nurse and see if you can be transferred to the nearest michelin restaurant and spend your time there till the smells of nice cooking gets you going again!

I hope you get so much better soon, that you can get out of there! Many positive thoughts flying across the pond to you!

 

You will know who the head nurse is GT....she's the one with the dirty knees!

Hey Chesskin and Gary......I was thinking of you this morning Gary, driving to work and Tim McGraw came on the radio...you know the one...and I got this big grin on my face thinking of what you said and had this bizarre quandry come into my head as to whether you would prefer sky-diving or rocky mountain climing about now Gary You know what I mean.....it was just one of those moments where you were deep in my heart, thoughts and prayers

Oh, and for the record, hurry up and get your butt out the hospital...I could never keep hospital food down either. I'm sure your sister's cooking is way better

Sorry to hear about GT yeah my dad has Terminal Cancer. I know how you feel and in a way i will never know how you feel. Everyones feelings are diffrent when a loved one has cancer.... But i am sorry and i hope your father GT gets better.

 

Just a minor setback, Gary. Unless you like the hospital food that much. Hurry up and get your butt out of that hospital, you'll get better, faster; when you're at home surrounded by the ones you love.

Hello all, as you guys know, I created a list of all the people that had said hello to Gary, I believe I got you all on there...But..
The other day I was PM'd by FlyNdragon that wanted to make the list I made as a big webpage get well card. Unfortunately, I havent spoken to Dragon for 2 days so I need to post this now, and hopefully another update, as I am still jotting the names down on word daily. I am truely hoping that the list can be updated every couple days or so, because I believe the best medicine is friend medicine.
I have shown this Link to Chesskin, and he says as soon as he can he will gegt Gary to see it...

That definately Rocks! No news yet, but he's doin somewhat better. IV's are a wonderfull thing sometimes. I think his Sis is helping spirits too.

Hello Geeks,
This is Gary, working through my sister Carol. I was home for 2 days - did not do well and back in the hospital a week ago Sunday. Carol's home on my computer with the telephone to me. Hoping to be released Friday in time for Christmas at home. Carol will be home with me until New Years. Still pretty weak, but getting slowly better.

Basic reason for stay: chemo caused nerve damage to both bladder & bowels, both of which had shut down and we're working on controlling them manually as well as getting stronger.

Just wanted to touch base briefly. Haven't had time to go through all 10 pages but will when I get home.

Will holler when I get home. Until then I do appreciate your thoughts & prayers. (and will even after I get home)
