game disk exploding in cd-rw drive

i lost my starcraft brood wars disk in my 48x cd-rw drive it blew up in side the drive casing its a memorex i was wondering if any one could help me fix this problem or know wat wrong with it

 

Discs generally explode because they have an existing fracture or fault, then when spun at high speed inside a drive, the centrifugal force causes them to shatter.

You didn't really do anything wrong, and it's a very rare event.

You could lower the speed of your drive, but as I said, it's very rare.

 

Thare shoul dbe 4 screws at the bottom of the drive holding the top and side cover on....take the cover off ( carefully not to brake the face plate ) and you should be able to get all the pices out ok...and this should make for an interesting read ....

Ace that was awsome,seeing the cd drive up the board 3 times was incredible,my dream is to one day replicate the experiment using a pool ball and pool table
