Games on Win 8.1

    Hi all, I've given up trying to change the OS on my laptop so am wondering if anyone can help with installing The Witcher 1, I need to upgrade from premium (which I own) to enhanced edition but I get a message telling me that the language pack is wrong and that I need to install the relevant pack but when I try this I receive the message that I need to upgrade to the EE version, any ideas/suggestion appreciated.
