Gateway ML3109 notebook XP drivers

I just reformatted my sons comp and loaded XP because vista is crap. need to find the drivers for it.:confused

A lot of Vista ready PC's do not have all the XP drivers for the hardware onboard. (Especially sound)

You can use Everest to find out what your hardware is and do a search for the XP drivers.

BTW Vista works great, is more stable than XP, and has many more tools to work with. But what you like, is what you like.

 

Why is that nobody ever looks for the XP driver BEFORE they reformat the PC??? They always wipe it out first, then say "hmmm... I can't find any drivers.... what do I do now??". I'm not trying to be an a-hole here, but this is such a common 'problem' that it seems to me that life would be easier for both of parties here at Major Geeks (both the folks needing help, and those of us helping) if people took a few minutes to:
A) try Vista (I mean really use it) before they decide that "it's crap" they might think otherwise.
B) look for the XP drivers BEFORE formatting and wiping Vista.
That's my two cents.
Follow musksnipe's advice, run Everest and it will provide a list of installed hardware. Then, use that list to search for the XP drivers.
