geforce 6800gt or radeon x800 pro??

just a person opinion from you guys on which you think is better, and maybe if u can y u think its better.

they seem to be the best ones n my budget atm, but dunno which to get. i go to a couple of different websites like tom's hardware guide and 3d center but they have different benchmarks, mainly due to wat game it is n the resolutions its being played at.

but they both seem to be at about the same level.

any thoughts?

 

oh also i'm looking at agp at my mobo only have agp slot..

Well if you have 3Dmark05 or 3Dmark03 you could look at the results in the web page for each graphic card. but i would go with NVIDIA.

 

If you had PCI-Express I'd tell you to go with nVida, because in the future you could always SLI. Which is kickass. But if you have AGP go with which ever one is cheaper. I'm and nVida guy myself.

 

The x800 pro has 12 pipelines, the 6800GT has 16. This is quite an increase in performance i think.

 

x800pro.... Adrynaline has one and i know he loves it....

 

6800gt I have one and I love it,you arn't gonna be dissapointed either way,the ati has slightly better AA,the 6800gt has pixel shader 3.0,they are both about neck and neck when you look through all the benchmarks

x800 I have one it'll give you what you want from todays games, is also cheaper...

edit: just noticed that you have AGP buy omegas says it works perfect and it's cheap too, i wanted to buy it, but I have PCI-e
