geforce fx 5700ve problem with Win XP Pro

Today I installed windows xp pro on my computer, but now I get constant problems with the monitor, it either flashes off and on, or leaves trailing windows, sometimes the links never show up when on my favorites. What do I have to do i never had the problems with win 2000 pro, i tried updating my drivers from my disk, and even the ones from nvidia's homesite but I still have the issues anybody know how I can solve this problem?
