I have tried my best to run all the steps of the clean up guide before posting for help.

The computer has installed but will not run the following of the programs listed in the clean up.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
    SpyBot - Search & Destroy
    SUPERAntiSpyware

I tried renaming the EXE's to see if they would run, but same issue. They do not open, crash, or show in task manager when asked to run.

When I try to run Combofix and MGtools, they execute but never open. They should up in task manager and never do anything past that.

The steps that did work, CCleaner.

What is my next course of action? Help!

Did you boot in safe mode and try?

Please begin by clicking Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices.
    • Scroll down to “Non-plug and Play Drivers” and click the plus icon to open those drivers.
    • Then search forTDSSserv.sys
    • Let me know if you find this or not.
    • If you do find it, right click on it, and select Disable. Do not try to uninstall it.
    • Also if TDSSserv.sys is found and you disable it, then reboot.
    • After reboot continue on with the below cleaning instructions.

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

I did download the software on a different PC to start with. I tried booting to safe mode and had the same issues as when I booted into windows normally.

    I did not find TDSSserv.sys

What I ended up have to do was remove the HDD, scan it as an external drive on a clean computer. I then was able to boot into windows and follow the cleaning guide.

    Thanks for the help.

Are you going tto attach the logs so that we can make sure they are all clean?

I would also like to know what you found while scanning it on the other PC while it was a slave drive.

I do not have some of the logs as they where deleted. I will pull up what logs that I can when I get a chance. I should still have a list of the items found when scanning as a slave drive. Should be here by late tonight west coast time.

    Why did you delete them?
