George Washington question

    I just read that GW "wore his hair in a cue"... and I was wondering if any of you Americans could enlighten me about what this is! i am imagining it's some kind of curler or hairstyle... but im not sure, heh.

    I had to look up 'cue' @ dictionary.com .. lol ... but I'm guessing that he braided it so he could wear I wig ... just my educated guess as I don't know for sure
