Georgia laws on used cars with no title

as many of you know i got a nice old truck awhile ago. well i been waiting and waiting and now its been like half ayear and still dont have a title for it. i know when a car reaches certain age it dont need its title no more and just a bill of sell then.

well when i went to the tag office and asked (about 2 months ago Nov 2006) whats the title date for cars she said it had to of been made before 1986. i thought it changed every year going up a year every year but she said the car has to of been made before 1986 and that it will never change from that year. I know that is not right. lol right? i been using Google but i can not come up with nothing....:cry

just so you know what kind of car i have i got a 1986 Isuzu P'up, 2.3L 4ZD1 motor, 2WD Spacecab with the short bed.

 

Can you not just apply for a lost title...yes it will dig into the pocket book a little bit, however...once you get the title...then you are in the free and clear and can put the rest behind you, and move on to your next worry!!

Just a update title has showed up lol just as soon as i start looking into getting a replacement they find the title
