    the silver disc in the middle is the DVD player..it pops up about 1/4 of an inch to allow insertion.. oh. I love this box..
    Time to install Vista RC1 X64 because I have an msdn account :D

    I too have the vista ISO burnt to a disk, with a newly issued key ready to go!

    I was going to wait till i had my new HDD installed but you have just inspired me to partition the old drive and have a look!

    I think I can get by with just a bib. ;)

    I'm not a big fan of "laptop" computers, but that's more than a laptop. Other than the itch to build/upgrade my own, that solves most of my gripes about laptops. Sweet machine. :)

    doing both. The bathroom isn't going to cost as much as I originally thought. In fact, about 50% less than what I thought. I will have the laptop paid off by this time next year.

    annoying.. keyboard drivers aren't available for Vista. It was cool.. but I've restored to factory.

    Not exactly. I lost the media controls on my laptop entirely and there were no sound card drivers for it. the OS was VERY slick and responded REALLY fast but I want to be able to actually use what I paid for.. so..

    Great laptop, Kodo. I'm not a laptop fan in general, but I guess laptops can go where the desktop 'puter can't, as well as being Uber-Geek!. ;)

    @Josh: Yeah, it is large for a "Laptop" but my main goal was to have something portable...if need be. It's not something that I would lug around with me on a daily basis.. it weighs 20lbs ..not gonna happen. BUT if I needed to take it to a demo or something, I could, or to maybe a fix a bug at a remote location, I could.
