I heard about this. There are going to be a lot of angry fat people in North America.

CrazyCanuck eh? Trying to steal my thunder?:p:-D I'd worry more about the poor who eat peanuts/butter for subsistence as it's one of the nutrient densest foods around. Skip the bacon eh?;)

    BTW, welcome aboard.:)

Ty Augie. Ya I totally agree. Maybe prices will go down? Or is Peanut butter the new Oil?

Hi there fellow CCanuck! You make me remember about the *good* old times when all peanut butter oil would float on top :puke and we had to stir well to get it mixed properly. It was very sticky too and oh boy, difficult to swallow! Ever since then I really don't like it much. Fresh peanuts different story.
Don't think that would be available for peanuts though. ;)

Wait. Is this an adult rated film we are talking about or are we still on the peanut butter subject? :-D

Just saw it reported on CNN - peanut prices soaring.

I always get "natural" style peanut butter with no additives - often made with "organically grown" peanuts.
That's the real thing - the way it was meant to be. :yum
Some brands are easier to mix than others.

    hehe, that must've been augie's 7th sense. ;)
Oh, I was talking about some 60 years or so ago when my mom used to feed us with that horrid *all natural* peanut butter without preservatives or additives. Dim memory of it getting rancid sometimes. Perhaps it's made better nowadays? Tried the regular kitchen variety smooth variety (Kraft) many years ago and it wasn't as sticky as in the good old times. Bet your peanut butter won't get rancid because the jar would be empty pretty soon eh?

Yeah, it doesn't last a terribly long time. Have to admit, I've had a bad habit of having chocolate candy with natural organic peanut butter
    as a late night snack.
    I'm lucky, 'cause I don't have a weight problem.

A good dense whole grain bread, fat free margarine, real blueberry spread and of course real peanut butter.
    That's P'butter 'N Jelly at it's best!

:confused:puke:-D Really? You must mean saturated fat free. I like my PB&J's with unsalted butter, double strawberry jam and sliced fresh bananas.:yum

It wasn't that bad, mum used to mix it up and put the PB jar in the fridge upside down. Pretty dim memories too but I don't remember it ever being rancid but yes, it was sticky going down but with enough 'lubricant' it went down nicely. I guess that's why I like butter with my PB these days.

You guys were lucky, we didn't have a fridge at that time and no putting the jar upside down, no jam or any other *lubricant* either. Bread, bit of margarine and PB only! Never heard about using PB with jelly or jam either until moving to Canada.

Sounds healthy minus the chocolate although the latter has been praised as being good for you - the dark variety though. You prob. won't have a weight problem when eating healthy.

Well augie, that's what it says? rolleyes
    Check it out.
    I Can't Believe It's Not Butter - Spray
Well, I was kind of "fudging" when I said chocolate. :-o
Truth is, what I'm having is not good for you and definitely NOT Fat Free.
It's actually the small "Fun Size" version of Snickers and sometimes the little Butterfinger bars. :-D
So, when I eat "bad", it's pretty bad.
