I'm going to be getting a new computer soon but I'm not quite sure what to get. (Last Tuesday my computer stopped working, and I couldn't get into Windows, or Safe mode. I had to use the Compaq Recovery CD to use my computer again.) Well anyway, I found some computers I liked, and I wanted to see which one you guys thought was the best.

I depends on what you want a computer for. A gaming computer would be made up of different hardware then say a computer to just surf the internet.

Dells can be agravating machines. I'm not a big fan of them.

That system seems a little expensive! You could get a similar PC second hand or near-new PC for about half the price if you look hard enough.

    Really? Hmmmm.

But anyway, does it look like you can play games like The Sims on that computer... or? Did you take the virtual tour of that computer? Because I only see a DVD drive on it.

I wonder about the "FX 5200 Graphics". Is that a AGP card or is it onboard? I reckon you could play the Sims on that machine, but nothing more graphically demanding. Probably not much in upgrading down the road either.

    That's a DVD-CD writer combo thingy.

Also I agree that is quite expensive for a Celeron IMO.

I got the sims to play perfectly on my old P2, 400mhz, 64mbs RAM, with onboard video! Don't ask how or why it worked on such an old computer but it did. You should be fine.

If you are talking about the Sims 2 then I don't know.

I would go with this one,,,the memory is upgradable to 4g and the FSB is faster then others,,get as much processor as you can afford the P4 HT is a great processor 3.0 or better FAST PC also HT is a multiprocessor PC,,,and HT can be disabled to have full processor for any demanding computive task,,or leave HT enabled for MAJOR multitasking !!!! ,,as well as the other specks listed..I have the P4 2.8 HT,,,in a laptop,,,think this is best bang for buck,,,My 2 cents Glenn
