My current cmos only allows things like boot sequence, power management, etc. to be changed, not anything to the chipset itself, or at least I think. Is there any way I can get these chipset options (like increasing L2 cache speed) unlocked from bios or something?

What kind of PC is this? what's your MOBO?
Not all will provide advanced options.
Bios update if avaible will sometimes expand your options.
