getting kicked off msn every 5 minutes

Every night when im on msn it randomly kicks me off and sometimes doesnt let me back on until the next day. after this happens i go to open a web page and it says i lost connection.. i have wireless internet and this just started happening like every night for about the last month or so.. are there any programs that i can download to prevent me from losing connection? i have ad aware but it only lets me scan about 200 files and then freezes up, so it could be a virus or something kicking me off too. i have a gateway with windows 98 if that helps at all..
