Getting rid of a table in word...

...without changing the appearance of the data? Can i dothis? I have Word 2010 on Windows 7.
I have lists on Quizlet which I want to copy paste & alphabetize & use as a mini dictionary, like I used to do BEFORE Quizlet changed their print out section. For some reason, it will not allow me to change the size of the table. I still need the words to be in the same order & general format (not all strung together). Is this possible? I have googled this some & didn't find a "layout" option, but they were talking about Wor d 03 & 07.
