Hello, I need some help permanently getting rid of programs I don't and won't ever use such as:

    Windows Media Player
    Windows Messenger
    Micrsoft Front Page
    Windows Movie Maker

Everytime I run Cyberscrub to delete and shred these program they come right back!! they are just wasting drive space. Can anyone help?

It is not recommended but I've gotten rid of them in Safe Mode (F8 while booting) by deleting their folders in Program Files and then running a registry cleaner and a registry compactor, then deleting their short cuts on the start menu as well. You didn't mention Outlook Express, which I have deep sixed that way also. Windows complains about it but will do it in safe mode. Have done away with Internet Explorer that way also, but remnants of it remained. It is not recommended but you could also move their folders to an external drive in safe mode and leave their registry entries alone to make sure it doesn't cause problems, and if it does cause problems put the folders back in their original locations. I did it on systems with 3 to 5 gigabyte hard disk drives. By the way, their folders will come back, but they will be empty.

Internet Explorer is usually required for MS updates, unless you don't download updates, or use another program that will process MS Updates.
