I have a 160 GB internal SATA II HDD and a 250 GB external SATA II HDD.
I want to put the 250 GB one in my computer and have both HDD's act as one partition.

What I want to know is if doing this will erase any/all files on those HDD's and if it will funk with my OS (Vista Home Basic) in any form. Thanks.

What do you mean having 2 drives act as one partition? You could run them in a RAID 0, but the smaller drive would limit you using anything over 160Gig on the larger drive. With RAID 0, it would appear as one 320Gig drive.

Would need a little more info for the data loss.

Well if you want to make a raid array you will loose all data on the drives. I think you have to use all the same drives but I could be wrong tho.

The only way I know to make one big partition is to use JBOD (Just A Bunch Of Disks)
