Getting Windows Protection Error after spyware removal

Hey guys, I deceided it was time to do a spyware cleanup and found your thread "Read me first before asking for support: Basic spyware, trojan and virus removal" and went through all the steps, downloaded all programs and ran them all in safe mode, no problem. BTW i am using Windows ME (haha yes i know it sucks). Anyway when I proceeded to restart after everything wad done, on load up, i get this message "Windows Proection Error. You need to restart your computer. System Halted." But When I try to restart the computer, I cannot restart it in Normal mode without getting the same message. Will only start in Safe mode. Everything is there in safe mode btu I just cannot get her back into normal mode. Can you guys please help me out?? Any input is appreciated
