GFX Driver Needed

    Having difficulty tracking down the correct drivers for my GFX card. New puter build just finished yesterday (yeah me! LOL) but every time I put the driver disc in it acts like it wants to run then my puter locks up. Everything else installed fine. I'm sure they can be downloaded but I want to make sure they are the right ones and frankly, I"m getting confused so would like a 'professional geeks' opinion.:)

    PNY Verto GeForce 6200 AGP 8X 256MB DDR

    yeah, just go to www.nvidia.com and d/l the latest reference driver. The PNY site just redirects you there anyway! Pick download driver from the links at the top of the page. Select graphics driver->geforce and tnt2->windows flavor->go. I believe 81.98 is the latest driver, it will work perfect with your card! Have fun.

    as Brandon ( Hi BigBird long time no chat ) posted above Abby the reference drivers from Nvidia or from our own download service will do fine ( same as the ones I have installed now ) http://www.majorgeeks.com/NVIDIA_Forceware_2K-XP_d3294.html

    but once installed, goto Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services and Stop and set to disable the Nvidia Driver Helper Service as its not needed and does tend to slow PC shutdown down a tad.

    oh and my bad... the service has changed its name a while back its called NVIDIA Display Driver Service oops! need more caffiene ;)
