Hi - I have received help here in the past with a norton problem. Hope there is help for this problem -- I have a "ghost" file - it shows up where it does not belong, is pale and transluent in appearance, has gear wheels on the front, states that it is a data base file, the date of the "program" changes all the time, states that it is a system file and will cause the computer error to delete it. What is this and how do I get rid of it???

It's a system file and you cant delete it.

    Click Start.
    Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    Select the View Tab.
Under the Hidden files and folders heading select " Do not show hidden files and folders."
Check the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    Click Yes to confirm.
    Click OK.
