GIMP loading problem

i just downloaded Gimp from here. the install went fine but when i try and start Gimp i start getting a error and once i get past the countless error (same error) thin i cant load no images in Gimp. i was wondering what might cause this. should i try and find the 2.2.13 version? i done tried reinstalling the program and have gotten nowhere:cry

just one thought. you have to install GTK+2 runtime environment to run with it. you can get it here if you hav'nt installed it already http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html i had the same problem and this is what solved it for me.

 

I have the same problem. I didn't get as far as getting the program to run.
