I'm running into problems trying to access certain sites like hotmail and e-bay that used to work great with Internet Explorer. This all came about after my daughter clicked on a file in AIM.

I got the machine cleaned up (with the help of the good folks at Major Geeks) and a clean hijack log, but the problem continues.

The sites say I need to allow cookies, but the security options for cookies in the browser are set at medium like they always have been.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you checked how cookies are allowed in your 'Advanced Privacy Settings'?

I've enabled the Windows XP firewall. That's the only firewall I've got.

The e-bay website gave directions on how to enable cookies. It also said to move the slider under the privacy tab to medium, but it was already there. I moved it down one notch to low and I still couldn't access certain content that I've never had trouble with before.

Look in Norton's and find the Ad Blocking feature, disable it and see if that works.

I'm using Norton Corporte Edition which I believe does not contain an ad blocking feature. I checked the help menu and didn't see it either.

    Thanks,

Have you tried accessing the websites in question with another browser? Because if Opera, Firefox, etc. doesn't have a problem with cookies, then it's a problem with IE, if you still have the cookie problem then it is an issue with some other software blocking cookies. It's a troubleshooting suggestion, not a solution.

OK. I'm not familiar with what the corp edition has, look under settings, web, options, etc. Also check any third party software you have installed that might block certain things.

I would also try deleting your cookies and the files in your temporary internet folder.
