Giving up on Blue Ray

I am wondering how many actually are putting up with the Blue Ray install and upkeep. I am fairly savvy with software and can follow instructions. After 4 hours of trying to install a Blue Ray player (Plextor) I decided it is just not worth it. Searching on line and calling my one friend that actually has Blue Ray running confirmed there is very little to gain unless you really like playing with the software. That is assuming you have 1080p up and running by other means.

Success stories of installing in 30 minutes or less and continued performance without hassles or unwanted side effects?

 

I am LOL at the thread reads and no success stories, guess the player is on its way back to Fry's.
