Gmail Problems?

Anyone having trouble connecting to their Gmail account? I keep getting a javascript alert saying to try back in a few seconds, i'm sure its been down for almost an hour.

Hmm. Google.com seems to be okay..

 

My accounts are all working fine..web based and via OE.

 

I just tried to get in and got a server 502 error. Told me to try again in 30 seconds.

mine says "oops, we can't do that! try again later" and gmail.com itself says it's having a server error.

best guess, multiple servers, some are down.

Yeah! It's back! Woohoo!

 

Well, going by how the hardware google search engine works, their servers go down on almost a daily basis, and they simply put a new one in to replace it. A bit like a RAID, but instead of a Redundant array of Inexpensive Disks its a Redundant Array of Inexpensive Computers!

But, we are getting to a peak with their "stress testing" technique now, so I imagine these problems will be shortlived

My only problem with Gmail is that precisely TWO people have that address, I've sent exactly four emails from it and received exactly five emails to it from them, and it gets 10-20 spam emails per day. Which explains why you need such an ungodly amount of space.

Waste of my time, I only check it every couple of weeks, or however often someone reminds me I have an account.

I have 2 accounts, 1 for everyday use, it has 27 spams in it over 2 months time.
The other one is for family and trusted sites(like MG), it has no spam in a month and a half

 

Yeah, I have no spam problems. I also don't give my e-mail out except to people I know won't send me junk.

I have had problems with connecting to g-mail though. I'll go to http://www.gmail.com and it won't connect. It says DNS error. Seeing that I'm on my schools network, I passed it off as something they blocked or screwed up. But I downloaded the gmail notifier and connected through that and it works fine. Interesting i must say... we'll see if it holds up.
