gmail won't stop loading

    Hi--has anyone else heard of this problem? it's really weird.

    whenever i try to go to the gmail site, it won't go to the site. there's a blank browser page, and it keeps saying "loading" on the righthand side. but it never gets there. the little browser flag keeps stopping and starting, and the numbers/letters in the address field keep changing.

    is this spyware, or gmail's fault??

    desperate to get into my email!

    I'm not sure what your problem is but let's see if we can rule out malware by checking for any.

    Please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

    Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.


    After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    Actually, I solved the problem.

    I cleaned out my ie history, got rid of cookies, files, etc. then i ran adaware and got rid of the files and MRU stuff that came up. now it's working--but i wanted to report back in case anyone else ever has the same horribly annoying problem. thanks!
