I was listening to some cds I have from the 70s and 80s.(yes, I was a teenager then) I was so amazed at how music (songs) impact our lives.
These were songs I had downloaded when Napster was free. I hadn't listened to them for a few years now.
As each song began playing, the memories overwhelmed me. Sadness, happiness, anger, all came from these songs. I could remember where I was, what was happening. Each song had some memory attatched to it. A time in my life. Good and bad. Things and people I hadn't thought of for over 20 years.

I am just amazed at how songs affect our lives.

Music is the soundtrack of life. Can't remember where I heard that, but it is so true. :)

i cannot go through a day without listening to at least... um... 50? of my fav songs:D i'm only guessing, but it sounds about right.

yeah, maybe someone should start music anonymous or something:D

but yeah. music is basically chicken soup for the soul... especially in unprotected sacd/dvd-a format;)

I remember growing up in England, our entire family listening to "Top of the Pops" every Saturday morning. (I think it was Saturday) The first album I bought was "Deep Purple" "The Book of Taliesyn" back in 1970 or '71 due to my hippie sister's influence. We lived in Canada then. I can still remember exactly, opening it up and playing it for the first time. My Mother wasn't impressed, because they were concerned about the direction my sister was headed, and me an impressionable 13 year old. Acid rock she called it. (I never did acid.)

In the 1980's, I hated the music.

Nowadays, though, the music from the 80's, I love it. It must be due to the nostalgic value, huh?
