@Goldfish - Notepad++

Have you tried to get Notepad++ to run under WINE.

Installed just fine, or so I thought; won't run.

 

Can't say I have tried. I tend to use Gedit instead, which has similar functionality IIRC. But according to the WineAppDB it runs like crap:

Personally I don't see the point - since there are plenty of similar programs out there which are native Linux.

 

Gedit is my primary editor when using Linux. When working with large SQL files, it slows down; behaves like there is a memory leak. So, I thought I try to run Notepad++ under Wine.

Guess I'll look around some. Don't like EMACS at all and NEDIT is too limited.
