good co-op games

my friends and i are planning on doing a LAN thing sometime soon and are trying to find some good co-op games.

ones we've thought of so far:

dungeon siege 1 and 2
pretty much any rts (starcraft, aoe2, warcraft3 etc)
diablo 1 and 2

ones ive googled:
neverwinter nights
hidden and dangerous 1 and 2

does anyone know if the ones ive googled are any good? also, what about the dungeon siege games? if you have another game let me know, any input is appreciated.

 

Operation Flashpoint is the best co-op game out there.

First to Fight : Close Combat is Good too

 

swat 4, it's fun and cheap!
Diablo's always fun with co-op.
I've got Dungeon Seige 2, i like it, it's fun but it takes forever to play. There's so much to do in the game it takes forever to even get to the second world.


Haven't played the games DeltaJ suggested, but why not play counter strike without a bot limit and like 30 bots? It's pretty fun.

 

SWAT is fun forgot bout that one. but unless ya have a lot of ram like a gig or more it takes forever too load

 

also the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon Series

Hidden and Dangerous 2 is nice as singleplayer but I found the multiplayer to be somewhat boring, specially since there were no bots.

You should mention what games you and your friends like.
For shooters Battlefield 1 and 2 are extremely fun to play in coop. Swat 4 is fun too like others suggested as well as Star Wars battlefront. Enemy Territory is also extremely fun even for small numbers.
Freelancer is very fun space sim/rpg to play in coop and multiplayer in general.

What is dungeon siege like in coop ? never tried it.

 

i think that they are mainly looking for an RPG but id like a good shooter (rainbow 6 or similar) or RTS.

oh, and age of empires is also good together

 

seriouse sam 1 and 2, frag party on a lan

 

I'd like to play Red faction 'DM
and coop... Warcraft III is quite good with some scenario lvls downloaded...

 

If you can find it, Project Nomands is a great game. Its not so much Co-op but it has a great multiplayer and very nice gameplay concept. its worth a try

 

holy crap dude, i just played the demo for Project Nomads and its sweet! If i can find it ill definitely get it. I can see that game being GREAT for multiplayer

 

Ahhh! Red Alert, in all it's flavors. The game I got so addicted to I have sworn off other games, just in case. I still challange family members to duels on that old game.

But I haven't seen any of the classic Doom games mentioned. Definately humor involved when you wait outside a door with the chainsaw, the guys on the other side can hear it and have to plan accordingly.
