im looking for a good pair of earbuds. i listen to a lot of rock/metal/alternative/etc and im looking for something that will give good, clear, sound but is also very bassy or enhances the bass. also, they need to be nice and loud. price range for me is hopefully around 20-30 dollars, no more than 40. i know that earbuds are expensive and the more expensive, the better quality usually, but im looking for good earbuds at an affordable price. if there are noise cancelling earbuds this cheap (which i doubt), those would be up for suggestion as well.

I prefer JVC Air Cushion's myself. They take a little while to burn in but are well worth the wait. Kramer modding them helps a lot as well. Exellent mids and highs make them great for rock and similar. The lows are above average as well but they need a good headphone amp to really shine.

    Hi

Sennheiser CX300s in White are pretty good and at a reduced price at present $40, always like Sennheiser headphones, but lately I have some Bose in-ear headphones for my ipod which are superb but at $99 over your budget.

There's some good Sony ones on the market at the mo which I tried recently - can't remember the model no. but they were fairly cheap and sounded great.

That's where I was going to go too....

I don't use them a lot, but I have tried a friend's set of SkullCandy buds and let me tell you, the sounds was freaking amazing and they generally run between 10 and 20 bucks.... I know that FYE carries them, but you can also check out www.skullcandy.com to get more info :)

PS: I can't find them on the FYE website, but when I checked the SkullCandy site, they seemed to run about $30.

I agree with Calltaker and Dreamer.... Skullcandy are good ear buds. Mine are a bit more expensive than $20 (just over $30) but are great sound.

Best Buy also carries the Skullcandy stuff, in addition to some nice JVC and Sony buds.
