Back up again……went to bed about 12:15 my time……sleeping real good, and somebody started shaking the bed…….we had a 4.1 earthquake, about 1:48………it’s about 10 miles away, and 6 miles below the ground surface……woke up three out four of us, in the apartment, and we’re on the 2nd floor…….my 11 year old daughter, snooze right on thru it…………have a nice day wobbles

Sits n chuckles @ fanny bags n tarts. Seperated by a pond and language!

I think the best example i saw of this was while in Australia. All of the pubs had signs outside of them saying "No thongs allowed"... usually complete with a big burly bouncer on the door to make sure. I was in fits!! "Ladies.... just drop your jeans/skirt a sec so i can have a shufti to be sure your undie's conform with our dress code."
Turns out "Thong" over there means sandals, as in the footwear. Fortunately i was told this before i'd finished my Doormans Application form! hehe

Haha...I warned my hubby when he came to the UK NOT to talk about fanny packs

Yup...means the same over here too....made me open my eyes wide when my hubby asked if I had seen his thongs.

Also in Aussie land sellotape means condom......so imagine the store keepers surprise when a Brit walks in and asks for a reel of the stuff !!! No wonder we have such a bad rep in some countries *grins*

ROFLMAO Morning Jarcher. It's one of those mornings where I forgot to wake my brain up. Just realized the spelling in this thread. Hopefully no one will be mourning this morning.

    Have a good day.
