Good XP themes and desktops!!

Does someone know where I can get some cool XP themes and backgrounds for free, without having to worry about any spyware or drive by installations of some kind of junk that might be tacked onto it because of it being free!!!!????

I went searching yesterday for the same thing. Every site I came across was very slow and full of popups. One even stated I would end up with some additional crap being downloaded and attached to my browser at their "Host's" discretion… Not for me.

 

That's what i'm saying!!!! I've been searching on deviantart.com for the last few minutes!!!! They have a bunch of cool themes, but...I haven't tried to download/install anything, so I don't know if they will recquire another program to work, and if that will cost $$!!!!???? This is my first time doing ANYTHING with themes, so i'm just running on a wing and a prayer here!!!!

There's popups but it's spyware free. You also need to patch it, I use the free one available on that site

 

Thanks mcadam...In the meantime...I just downloaded the free version of WindowBlinds4 and found me a cool one that I really like at Deviantart.com!!!!

Window Blinds did something to my computer, and I had to reinstall my chipset drivers to enable DMA. Maybe something else went haywire, but when I downloaded it I couldn't burn movies, and when i uninstalled it I could. Becareful with it. It really lagged my cpu also. Maybe I am a "special" case.

 

I prefer, black background, with ALL options turned off.

I just hope that windows VISTA has this option.

I'm not a big fan of ... OH look at my super neat desktop screen!

Oh, where oh where, has my monochrome screen gone!
