Google Chrome window gets lower and lower on opening

Friends: Whenever I open a new Google Chrome window the window opens small and is gradually moving towards the bottom of the screen. Soon it will disappear below the screen. How can I open it to be full screen and stay in the middle the screen? Windows 7. Thanks for any help.

 

In the upper right hand corner of the Chrome window are three small boxes, one of them being the X that you probably use to shut the app down. Click on the little square to the left of the X to toggle full screen mode.

 

Yeah, do as rustysavage said.

Or, right click on the program in the taskbar and select Maximize.

Whlie Chrome is maximized, with the square button or Maximize command, close it. You can do so using the X at the top right, next to maximize or right click on it in the taskbar and select Close.

Reopen Chrome, it should start maximized.

 

Double clicking on the area to the left of the 3 icons shown by rustysavage, (the area where your tabs open up to), also switches between Maximize and Restore. Or as I like to call it, Full Screen and Window.

I'm aware Maximize is not a true full screen.

For true full screen, press F11 or click the menu button, and click on the [ ] button to the extreme right of Zoom.

Press F11 again to exit full screen mode.
