   Which Windows version you using?
   
   May need to let us know exactly which dropdown bar, is it the one on google search on the webpage, google tootbar, google desktop search?
   
   If its the webpage then what browser are you using?
   
   But check that Autocomplete is ticked and in Internet Explorer its found at Tools > Internet Options > Content tab > Settings
