    Hi,
A few days ago, while doing a Google search, I made the mistake of clicking on one of the side ads that appeared to be legit. Soon after, I heard a loud knocking/typing sound in the background. I shut down my computer and rebooted. An internet explorer page popped up advertising spyware which I closed. Upon doing another Google search, every search result had a byline stating-"this site maybe harmful to your computer". Yahoo searches seem safe though.

I ran through the READ & RUN ME FIRST steps. Googling seems ok now, but I'm not sure if my computer is clean or not. My logs are attached. Thanks in advance.

    Your logs are clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

While uninstalling combofix, a popup comes up labeled- RSK-HIDE.SAA MALWARE STOPPED by BOCLE...message in popup reads as follows:
    Location of startup: FILE
    C:\32788R22FWJFW\HIDEC.EXE
This trojan horse program was found on your machine. It has been shut down, but the FILE from which it started still remains and can be started up again. Do you want the file removed also? [YES] [NO]

Minutes later my firewall and my antivirus shuts off. A blank command prompt window came on and off( could be combofix, not sure) . A small window letting me know combofix unistalled came on, I clicked ok.

Now three identical popups labeled- BOCLEAN SHUTDOWN ORDERED!!!
message reads as follows: BOClean has been told to shut down. You have NO protection if BOClean is shutdown. Should BOClean be shutdown? [Yes] [No]

I have NOT clicked on any of the popups, with exception to the combofix uninstaller, they are sitting on my screen. In fact, the 3 'warning' popups are only visible if I drag the "RSK-HIDE..." window across my screen. Now what? I'm not sure if its a trick or Comodo boclean, since you found no malware. Thanks for your time.

That is a false detection by Comodo. That file is just used by ComboFix and many other tools. As stated in the instructions for installing and running ComboFix, you need to shutdown all protection software to run ComboFix. Try uninstalling again after you shutdown your protection software.
