These problems started about a week again when I accidentally removed my firefox browser and had to download it from frostwire. I knew I'd get a virus from doing it, but had no choice at the time and thought I'd be able to remove it myself. I think I got it when I ran all the other programs you have sticky'ed on the forums. Just want to make sure that I do. Rootrepeal refused to load for me saying that it couldn't initialize the driver and to contact the author. They were ran in the order they were listed in the sticky.

I do not understand what you mean. Are you telling me you accidentally uninstalled Firefox and then downloaded it again via p2p software?? Why didn't you simply download it from here

Anyway, I'm not seeing much to do here... so we can do the below and then you must tell me how your machine is behaving and whether you are still being redirected when searching.

    1. I need to point you towards this thread, take a look:

Warning about Porn, Keygens, Cracks, and other Illegal Software

I am seeing the below in your logs:

    2. Your combofix log was incomplete, however let's see how we get on with this:

Now we need to use ComboFix
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    • If ComboFix tells you it needs to update to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below quote box. Ensure you scroll down to select ALL the lines:
    Code:

    KILLALL::

    File::
    C:\Users\Takara\AppData\Local\Gyuyejukoz.dat
    C:\Users\Takara\AppData\Local\Ikahezupewadag.bin

    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe

      http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif

    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below

    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    3. Also delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).

    • C:\Windows\TEMP
    • C:\USERS\TAKARA\LOCALS~1\TEMP

    4. Why are you running without any anti virus or a third party firewall? You are leaving your machine wide open to attack by not being protected and downloading cracks is another great way to get stung.

    5. Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Combofix.

    6. Let us know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now! Are you still getting redirected?

    1. I had to download it through Frostwire because I had no web browser on my computer to download anything. Internet Explorer is removed from the PC (thanks to Windows 7) and I had accidentally uninstalled Firefox. I don't use system restore due to malware and the space that it takes up.

    2. I've been working with PC's for 10 years now. I know internet security. What to do and what not to do. What is safe and what is not safe. This is the only time I've had something go wrong, and I knew it would go wrong. I just have to get up to date on the tools for removing malware is all. Which is why I don't have an antivirus or third party firewall on the computer. I deal with it as it comes. It's not that big of a hassle removing adware. =P

    3. ComboFix blue screened with a message about the mbr.sys. That is what happened last time too. That is probably why it comes up as incomplete.

Well you should know not to install cracked illegal software ;)

Download the MBR Rootkit Detector to your desktop.

    • Doubleclick mbr.exe and follow prompts.
    • A black DOS window will quickly appear then disappear.
    • When mbr.exe is finished it will create a log on your desktop.
    • Copy and paste contents of that log file to your next reply.

    Added the mbr.log

So far there is no more redirecting.

Good. Your logs are clean. You can now follow the final steps I shall give you below:

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
      • Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    3. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
