Google OS for tablets ie Nextab

What is difference between Google android Jelly Bean and Ice cream and Ice cream Sandwich OS? Want to buy a tablet to stream Netflix and play with apps, but don't know what these OS terms mean. Which is best? Also does Google play have lots of apps like the app store for apple does?

The names were simply given to note the newer versions of the Android OS, the latest being Android 4.3 (Jellybean). Similarly, Apple has given it's updates to OSX large cat names, the latest being Mountain Lion.

Android has had to beef up security because 96% of mobile malware affects Android devices.

The Google Play Store has THOUSANDS of apps. Some of them are freeware and others are paid.
