Google Play Services.

    How the heck do I get this crap to stop?
    Every time I turn on Wi-Fi or enable Mobile Data I get a request from Google Play Music.
    This junk isn't enabled and notifications are off.

    I have to enable Google Play Services to get rid of the Google Play Services notifications?
    And when I click ENABLE GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES I'm back to the second screenshot in post #1.

    I selected Enable and I got another message - to update Hangouts!

    No, but I did sign-up for a Gmail account on my phone.
    And that's when the crap started...

    Gmail does have a Hangouts option. I don't use it, but it is there.

    I believe Gmail itself calls on some of the features of Play services.

    My mistake, I do have Gmail installed - plus numerous other Google services.
    But, I have not used my Gmail account.
    Yes, I just checked and Google Play Services need to be enabled for Gmail to work.

    I think I've nailed it.
    All these 'services' are disabled and I get no more notifications.
