I noticed a few days ago that when clicking on links from a google search that I was redirected to different sites every so often. After clicking on the link, the status bar would read "google re-direct." This problem has now occurred when clicking on links in non-google related sites as well. I've attached the results from my malwarebytes anti-malware scan and also from GooRedFix scan. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

My apologies, I did not see the Malware Removal guide when I first posted. I followed all of the directions and ran all of the scans. The logs are attached.

I don't know if this is a problem, but on the reboot after running superantispyware, windows began to load and then a blue screen came up and I was brought back to a screen asking if I wanted to start in safe mode or continue normally. I tried to continue normally and the same thing happened again, so I chose safe mode. After rebooting from safe mode I was able to load windows normally without a problem.

Again, any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. This google redirect problem is really quite annoying. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

You had many more problems than just Google redirects. Not sure how you were missing them since they were actually more severe problems. You can see what I'm referring to in the SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes logs. None of those problems were causing the redirects. We will fix the redirects below which is a simple fix of just deleting a single folder.

I strongly advise you to cleanup your Desktop. Remove eveything but links to run programs. Do not download and save programs here and defintely do not use it for long term storage. You need to keep ComboFix.exe here for now as we need it, but we will be removing it when we are finished with your cleanup. A cluttered Desktop is malware's playground and it can also cause performance degradation especially when you start saving large files here like you are doing.

Uninstall Viewpoint Media Player as requested in step 1 of the READ ME[/color][/b]

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.antimalwareguard.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.gomyhit.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.antimalwareguard.com (HKLM)
    O15 - Trusted Zone: *.gomyhit.com (HKLM)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now delete the below folder which is causing your redirects.
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\{BE262BE9-33D3-4202-BD32-0A1533252BDF}

Now run Ccleaner. Only use the Run Cleaner button. Do not run anything else on any other forms.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Thank you so much for your help so far, it is greatly appreciated. Things seem to be running much better now. I cleaned out my desktop as you suggested. I also played around on google for a while and didn't encounter the redirect problem. I am just worried that my computer might still be infected by some of the more severe problems that you mentioned in your post. My log is attached, please let me know the next step. Again, thank you for all of your help.

You're welcome. Your logs are clean. If you are still concerned, you could try running new scans with SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes to see if they find anything else. Make sure you updated them before running the scan. Only attach new logs if they find any malware ( do not report cookies since they are not problems).

If the new scans come up clean, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
