    I want you to run TDSSKiller so refer to the below for how to do so.

    TDSSkiller - How to run

    Can you attach the zipped file from running MGTools please? ---> C:\Mglogs.zip

    Download the latest version of MGtools and save it to your root folder. Overwrite your previous MGtools.exe file with this one. Run the exe file and then you will find the C:\MGLogs.zip.

    Do the re-directs happen in all browsers?

    it only seems to be google. I can type in the URL and the pages work fine, but if i'm trying to google something then it redirects and goes into very strange virus pages that my trend micro virus protector is stopping. Its very frustrating

    I did download the sims 3 pets and it was the very first time I ever downloaded a game and thats when this is all started. The sims 3 pets didnt even work after I downloaded it, so I ended up buying it. This is why I will never download again. sorry but it has now stuffed my computer with this google redirect.

    Please be warned that you would be wise to back up any important data before proceeding with the next step of attempting to fix your MBR.

    If you don't have your Win7 disc, you can create a Recovery Environment disc for your system here:

    Win7 64bit Recovery Environment

    Win7 32bit Recovery Environment

    You can use ImageBurn to create the disc.

    Once the disc is created, boot into the bios and change the boot order to CD/DVD as first boot device. Put in the disc and reboot. Once in the RE, type this:

    Note the space after the exe.

    Exit out when done and boot back into normal mode. Re-run MBRCheck and attach the new log.

    Hello,

    You can use ImgBurn
    See the download links under this icon: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/chaslang/images/MGDownloadLoc.gif

    Install ImgBurn by double-clicking SetupImgBurn_2.5.6.0.exe
    Do not install the Ask toolbar that tries to install itself by default -- Uncheck all of their boxes!

    After Installation...

    • Double-click Windows764-bitRepairDisc.zip to open the archive.
    • Inside this archive should be a file with .iso at the very end of it.
    • Extract this file onto your desktop! You can do this by dragging it from the archive to the desktop or clicking the Extract... button from whichever archive viewing program you are using.
    • Now double-click this .iso file (the one that is on your desktop!!)
      Note: This should launch ImgBurn, if it does not, you can right-mouse click the .iso file and select "Burn with ImgBurn".
    • Now insert a blank DVD-R
    • Press the Write button.
      This should start burning the file onto a DVD which you can boot from!

    Then boot off this DVD as Kestrel13! requested to perform the Bootrec.exe /fixmbr command

    Ok I think I have done it right.

    Looking much better. No more redirects I trust?

    SUPERantispyware has been incorrectly installed. So uninstall it please and if you wish to keep it, reinstall it to the proper location of C:\Program Files.

    Now we need to use ComboFix by sUBs

    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    • If ComboFix tells you it needs to update to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below quote box. Ensure you scroll down to select ALL the lines:
    Code:
    KILLALL::

    DirLook::
    c:\windows\SysWow64\3086
    c:\windows\SysWow64\3005
    C:\Users\Matt and Adeana\AppData\Roaming\chc.4875E02D9FB21EE389F73B8D1702B320485DF8CE.1
    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe

      http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif

    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below

    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    If after running Combofix you discover none of your programs will open up, and you recieve the following error: "Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion". Then the answer is to REBOOT the machine, and all will be corrected.

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista or Windows7) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

    Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!

    Before we continue I would like for you to use MSConfig to put this machine back into normal start up mode

    Now we need to use ComboFix by sUBs

    KILLALL::

    Folder::
    c:\windows\SysWow64\3086
    c:\windows\SysWow64\3005
    File::
    C:\Windows\tasks\At1.job
    C:\Windows\{53D7EDC2-F745-9F94-193A-EC251FD
    FileLook::
    c:\windows\SysWOW64\msii.dll

    Could you please get this: msii.dll into a zipped file and attach it for me in your next post? To do this, see the below:

    Please go to start > Run and paste in the following:

    log retrievable @ C:\collect.zip

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista or Windows7) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

    Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!

    You are very welcome. :)

    Also this still stands:

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 6 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
      related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 7 of the READ ME
        for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
